Round table "Education Trends in the Context of Cultural and Ethnic Diversity"

Within the framework of the conference "Education and Global Cities: Prospects of BRICS"  the Department of Asian and African Studies of Higher School of Economics - St. Petersburg and the Centre for Asian and African Studies will host a round table under the working title " Education Trends in the Context of Cultural and Ethnic Diversity" on the 15th of May.

Round table "Education Trends in the Context of Cultural and Ethnic Diversity"

Higher School of Economics in St. Petersburg together with two other Russian universities and Russian academic excellence Project “5-100”  will held the second international conference "Education and Global Cities: Prospects of BRICS" in St. Petersburg on 14-15 of May 2015 (webpage of the event).

Within the framework of the conference the Department of Asian and African Studies of Higher School of Economics - St. Petersburg and the Centre for Asian and African Studies will host a round table under the working title "Education Trends in the Context of Cultural and Ethnic Diversity" on the 15th of May.

Topics for discussion:

·         Modern education and preservation of language and culture of ethnic groups in the BRICS countries;

·         Ethnic groups and education policies in the BRICS countries and other developing states, fulfilling the right to education for ethnic groups;

·         Modern globalizing education systems and their local and regional alternatives;

·         Formation of national identity, ethnicity and education.
