HSE University–St Petersburg has hosted the third expert meeting devoted to social entrepreneurship. The event featured presentations of two books that explore the roles of universities and business in creating conditions for developing a socially responsible society.

HSE University–St Petersburg held the Third International Academic Conference ‘Army, Elites, and Society in the Middle East and North Africa.’ The event brought together researchers from Russia, Oman, Belarus, Uzbekistan, and several other countries.

On September 23, the HSE University–St Petersburg Rope Shop Building hosted the Second Russian–Chinese Forum 'Culture of Education' and the annual meeting of the Russian–Chinese Association of Applied Research Institutes. More than 100 participants from leading non-government Chinese universities and representatives of 15 Russian universities discussed the integration of artificial intelligence in education and industry.

The Department of Media at HSE University-St Petersburg and the Department of Journalism at São Paulo State University (UNESP, Brazil) jointly hosted a research seminar covering the role of mass media in shaping the image of BRICS countries. The participants discussed problems that journalists have to face in Russia and Brazil when covering the activities of the organisation.

The International Partners' Week at HSE University-St Petersburg united more than 100 representatives of leading universities from 23 countries. During the large forum, specialists of the campus, invited experts and international partners took part in panel discussions on artificial intelligence, the use of 'soft power', shaping a new generation of leaders and many other topics.

The Centre for Youth Studies at HSE University-St Petersburg has held the International Research Conference 'Agency and Sustainability of Youth in the Age of Global Challenges'. More than 100 researchers from Russia, India, Argentina, and Brazil discussed the adaptation of young employees in the labour market, the influence of digitalisation on the youth's lives, the role of youth culture in the city, and other issues. HSE University-St Petersburg showcased the national developments in artificial intelligence at one of the largest technological conferences in the Asia-Pacific region (APR)—'IEEE Technology and Engineering Management Society Conference: Asia-Pacific' held in Indonesia. HSE University was the only Russian representative at the event. The conference was held at one of the leading technical universities in Indonesia—ITS where HSE University opened its representative office in 2023.

On May 16-17, HSE University-St Petersburg hosted the first student research conference on Political Science and related disciplines 'May Forum'. It gathered more than 50 young researchers from five Russian regions. The students organised the events with the financial support of the HSE Centre for Student Academic Development.

From April 26 to May 7, a team of professors and students from HSE University-St Petersburg conducted a field study in the Indian Himalayas.
