Creative Journal "Interstice":Study Project of the Master's Programme“Arts and Culture Management”

The “Interstice” journal is designed as an experimental publication to give young authors the opportunity to express themselves and receive support for their further creative work and the completion of projects that are in progress.
Seyram describes her creative idea as follows: «Before a poem is completed, a painting is exhibited, or a photo is chosen for publication, there are drafts, notes, and fragments. These moments are often hidden, although they form the foundation of artistic practice».
The new journal is created to provide an opportunity for aspiring authors to introduce their work to the public, find like-minded individuals, and receive curatorial support for the development of their creative ideas. Publishing in this journal can help young authors to showcase their creative work and serve as a successful starting point for their artistic careers.
Curator of the study project, associate professor, Ekaterina Shekova
During the study project, students learn how to put their creative ideas into practice, how to write a project proposal, how to identify the target audience and communication channels, and how to raise resources for the project. The creative journal "Interstice" provides a unique opportunity not only for students to gain practical experience in organizing and promoting the journal, but also for young creative writers, visual artists, photographers to present their works in the new journal.
According to Seyram, in this study project “I am learning how cultural projects take shape beyond theory: how to curate meaning, engage audiences, manage resources, and translate an idea into something tangible and collective. It connects directly to my long-term career goals in cultural diplomacy and arts management, where I hope to create platforms that bring people together through thoughtful and inclusive cultural work”.
