The Master's programme 'Data Analytics for Politics and Society' is launching a double-degree programme together with the Mexican Autonomous Popular University of the State of Puebla (UPAEP). The new track will enhance the partnership between HSE University and universities in the South American region.

The HSE University–St Petersburg Summer School brought together about 50 students from ten countries. The participants studied political geography, modern Russian culture and language, statistical analysis, and intercultural communications. On May 26–29, 2026, an HSE University team visited Minsk, the capital of Belarus. The purpose of the trip was to meet and hold talks with Belarusian universities and scientific organisations—HSE University's current and prospective partners.

The second Indo-Russian Education Summit (IRES 2026) took place in New Delhi on May 28–29. This year, the event brought together more than 70 leading Russian and Indian universities. Representatives from HSE University’s Moscow and St Petersburg campuses introduced prospective students to the university’s educational opportunities at the exhibition and shared their experience in developing Russian–Indian academic cooperation.

HSE University-St Petersburg hosted the African Festival. The Rope Shop Educational Space welcomed guests from Morocco, Nigeria, Egypt, Cameroon, Ghana and other countries. During a panel discussion, representatives of businesses and leading St Petersburg universities discussed ways to enhance relations between Russia and Africa, while international students shared stories of their career success.

Professors from HSE University–St Petersburg and researchers from Mexican universities discussed vectors for the development of higher education. The experts highlighted the important role of the academic community in promoting people's well-being.

The Rope Shop Educational Space of HSE University–St Petersburg hosted a conference on the present and future of Russian–Chinese relations. Together with Luo Zhanhui, Consul General of China in St Petersburg, leading experts in Asian and African Studies discussed vectors for the long-term development of the countries, the synergy of joint projects, and future educational partnerships.
