A Visit to HSE: Open Day 2026

On March 1, 2026, HSE University will hold its traditional event for prospective bachelor’s and specialist degree applicants and their parents—the University-Wide Open Day. Here is what to expect this year.
HSE is a young multidisciplinary university that has already become one of the country’s leading higher education institutions. Here, everyone can find a suitable academic programme across a wide range of fields—from the exact sciences, artificial intelligence, and IT to economics, media, and design.

‘The University-Wide Open Day is a major annual event that we organise for our guests. In just one day, at a single venue, you will be able to learn how the admissions process works, speak with representatives from all campuses and faculties, take part in masterclasses, and perhaps discover something new about yourself,’ said Alexander Chepovskiy, Director of the Prospective Students Office. ‘More than 7,000 visitors attend our events, and we strive to ensure convenience and comfort for everyone. This year, as before, a chatbot will be your main assistant at every stage, allowing you to register, sign up for activities, and explore the programme all in one place.
At the Open Day, you will also be able to receive detailed information about all pathways to admission to HSE.’
An exhibition of stands will be set up in the atrium of the HSE building on Pokrovsky Bulvar. The space will resemble a large guest lounge, bringing together faculties, other divisions, and HSE campuses.
To explore different fields, test your interests, and uncover hidden talents, you can attend masterclasses organised by HSE divisions and campuses. Four activity time slots are planned, and registration will open one hour before each begins (except for the first morning slot, for which registration will open at 8:30 am Moscow time). Attendees can only participate in one masterclass per time slot. The full schedule of activities is available on the event website (in Russian).

One of the key highlights on March 1 will be presentations by representatives of the Admissions Office. Guests will learn everything about applying in 2026: application deadlines, the number of programmes and state-funded places available, how individual achievements are assessed, and other changes to this year’s admissions rules.
Guided tours will also be available to help visitors explore the HSE building—including the HSE Library and the Durasov House. Advance registration is required; sign-ups will open one hour before the tours begin.
The University-Wide Open Day will take place on March 1, 2026, in Moscow at 11 Pokrovsky Bulvar. The event will run from 10 am to 5 pm. We welcome anyone planning to apply for bachelor’s or specialist degree programmes.
For prospective students from other cities and those unable to attend in person, an online meeting will be held on March 29, 2026. Further information about the webinar will be published later—stay tuned for updates.
Upon entering the HSE building, each guest must present an invitation confirming their prior registration. We therefore recommend that all family members planning to attend register in advance.
