The international research seminar "Regional Leadership in Eurasia: How Major Powers Compete for Potential Followers" is taking place on October 31st, 2019 at the Centre for Comparative Studies of Governance, Saint Petersburg School of Social Sciences and Area Studies. The working language is English.
The Seminar programme includes three sections of lectures and discussions, led by both Centre for Comparative Studies of Governance researchers and invited lecturers from Germany and USA:

  1. Regional Leadership in the International Politics and Russia's Role in Eurasia (speakers prof. Gwendoline Sasse, Institute for East European Studies;  prof. Irina Busygina, HSE; prof. dr. H.-J. Spanger,  Peace Research Institute Frankfurt; prof. Mikhail Filippov, State University of New York) 
  2. Models of Regional Leadership in Eurasia: Russia and China (speakers prof. Irina Denisova,  Moscow State Institute of International Relations; Elena Soboleva, HSE; prof. Svetlana Krivokhizh, HSE; Ekaterina Chimiris, Russian International Affairs Council)
  3. Models of Regional Leadership in Eurasia: Russia and EU (speakers prof. Anna Dekalchuk, HSE; Ivan Grigoriev, HSE; Ekaterina Chimiris, Russian International Affairs Council; Roman Mayka, Russian International Affairs Council; prof. Irina Busygina, HSE)
The Seminar's Venue is Griboedova Channel Embankment, 123, room 302. The working hours are 10.30-19.30.
