How to apply

In the 2024/2025 academic year, a separate competition is held for foreign applicants, combining the procedure for admission to paid places under contracts and budget (quota) places for foreign citizens. Features of admission to the master's program in a separate competition for foreign citizens:

1. Acceptance of applications for the master's program is open until August 13,
2. 2024 submission of the application is carried out online on the website of the National Research University Higher School of Economics
3. based on the results of the portfolio competition and interviews, applicants who have scored high scores can be given a discount of 25% -50% of the cost of training for the entire period of study
4. the most talented applicants who have scored the highest points for the portfolio competition can, on a competitive basis, get the opportunity to enter budget (quota) places for foreign citizens and study for free!
5. within the framework of a separate competition, foreign applicants compete only with other foreign applicants

As part of a separate competition for foreign citizens, entrance examinations for a master's degree are conducted in the form of a distance portfolio competition and Skype interviews; portfolio includes CV, motivation letter, 1 or 2 letters of recommendation, diploma or transcript. To enroll in a master's program at the Higher School of Economics, a higher education diploma or its equivalent with legalization and notarized translation into Russian is required. At the application stage, an academic transcript may be provided. Applications are accepted online through the personal account of a foreign applicant.
