Abstract

The course is based on interactive teaching style with intensive student participation. The course combines lectures and class discussions. The self-study work is supported by the on-line video course in logistics. The course covers the following topics: supply chain management, IT in logistics, transportation and warehousing.     1.1 The aim, objectives, principles and definitions of logistics and supply chain management; 1.2 Practical aspects of logistics, it’s evolution and current trends; 1.3 Functional areas of logistics: key tasks and challenges; 1.4 Functions of logistics: description and examples;

    2.1 Research models and methods used in logistics, perspectives and trends; 2.2 Strategic supply chain management planning and controlling
