Welcome to the open lecture by prof. Alexei A. Maslov. The topic is: "Changing Economic Landscape of China and Re-Conceptualizing the China and Russia Models".

Dr. Alexei Maslov, PhD, is a professor of HSE Moscow School of Asian Studies, specializing in Asian political development and cultural traditions with over 100 published works. 

China's, previously stable, economic model is now still under the heavy attack from US that can lead to the dramatic social and economic transformations.  What will be the Chinese riposte and is Chinese model still stable? Chinese "Belt and Road initiative", which was welcomed at the first stage of its development, begins to cause concern among many countries-partners. At the same time, the Russian image in East Asia is relatively positive. We will discuss the realities of business and political prospects of Russian-Chinese relations.
