How to Apply

How to become Master of Finance student? Here are several ways for this.

Pathway 1: international admission

The application period for the Master’s programmes under the international admissions for 2020-2021 intake is open from November 1, 2019 by August 14, 2020.

Full scholarships and tuition fee waivers (25% or 50% of the tuition fee per year) are available.

International Admission Requirements

Applications are accepted online through the Applicant's Personal Account.

Entrance trials include a portfolio competition and an interview. The portfolio has to contain the following documents:

-       a curriculum vitae;

-       a motivation letter;

-       at least one recommendation letter;

-       ascanned copy of the Bachelor's diploma.

Additionally, applicants can submit certificatesconfirming their English languageproficiency, and other academic, professional and personal merits, including GMAT/GRE certificates.

Pathway 2: participation in HSE’s international competitions

Foreign nationals can secure a place at our graduate programmes through participation in HSE’s  international competitions. 

Graduate international applicants are welcomed to take part in the following competitions (some restriction apply):

Winners have the opportunity to get a scholarship or receive additional benefits if they are entering self-paid seats.

 

Pathway 3: general admission (limited eligibility)

Certain categories of international applicants are eligible to apply for a state-funded seat or a self-funded seat:

  • Citizens of Belarus, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan (national passport must be provided).  
  • Citizens of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova,Tajikistan,Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Ukraine permanently residing in Russia (permanent residence document must be provided).
  • Compatriots living abroad (Compatriot status confirmation must be provided according to Federal Law N99 dated 24.05.1999).

Under the general admission international applicants compete with Russian applicants.

Please check your eligibility before applying through the general admission!

Please note: within the general admission international applicants will compete with Russian applicants. According to our statistics, general admission is much more difficult for international applicants than international admission.
