Historical, Political and Economic Integration of BRICS
- Introduce the students to the processes of political, economic and social integration of the BRICS countries
- Give knowledge about general histories of the five BRICS countries
- Form understanding of the such core concepts and theories as a plural modernity theory, Global South, post-colonialism, development etc.
- Promote skills necessary for analyzing social imaginaries, current politics and social processes in the BRICS countries.
- Understands core concepts related to plural modernity theory as underpinning BRICS integration processes
- Able to use methods of historical analysis of social imaginaries influencing mutual (mis-)understanding of the BRICS countries

- ExamThe exam is taken in the form of the essay. The volume of the essay is typically 1500 – 2500 words (3-5 pages). The essay should clearly address the policy issue in question, describe why it is important for the BRICS collaboration as well as briefly consider history of discussion of the issue among the BRICS member states and analyse decisions taken.
