Peterhof State Museum Reserve is one of the largest and most complex of Russian museums. During the Internship, the students acquire the skills of preserving both cultural artifacts and landscape objects and then turning them into a museum exhibit. Students, oriented at problems of saving the complex cultural or nature heritage objects, usually choose this Internship. During this Internship, the students also take part in the museum-concerned research and prepare materials for future exhibitions.
The Internship in the State Museum of the History of St. Petersburg provides a wide range of research possibilities. The topics can vary from political history to the history of cosmonautics. This is possible for the museum has a huge group of affiliated exhibitions. The students who prefer interdisciplinary history usually select State Museum of the History of St. Petersburg for the Internship. During the Internship, the students can work in different museum divisions, for example, archives, the research department etc. They help to prepare catalogues, albums, audio guides, references (in English as well) and form the exhibitions.
The HSE Management Training Centre in located in Pushkin town within Saint Petersburg. It occupies the halls of the Kochoubey family mansion, which is a part of the Tsarskoe Selo museum reserve. The Internship here allows the students to take part in an ongoing project of transforming the imperial nobility rural mansion into a popular congress basement owned by HSE. During the Internship, the students prepare catalogues and brochures while also maintain some research activity. They also take part in creating the exhibitions along with the Tsarskoe Selo museum reserve.
The Museum of Anthropology and Ethnography provides a wide range of research possibilities for the students concerning the Asian, African and South American studies. This is a most popular Internship venue for the international students of the programme. During the Internship, the students are engaged in the research activity of the Kunstkamera departments under the direction of the museum employees.
