International senior students can apply to HSE International Ambassadors programme. Participants will get financial support for projects aiming to attract new students, free professional training and cool HSE merch.
HSE University – St Petersburg invites foreign citizens to apply to its undergraduate or graduate programmes for the 2020-2021 academic year. Applications can be submitted online.
The scope of academic programmes of HSE St. Petersburg in 2018-2019 includes brand new Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees open for international students, who are welcome to apply from mid-November 2017.
On November 1, applications opened for 2017 admissions to undergraduate and graduate programmes at HSE. This year, a new online application system has been introduced to simplify the procedure for international applicants.
HSE has gradually begun transitioning payment of scholarships to Sberbank cards. Cards will initially be issued to first-year Master’s students. From November 2016 Scholarship payments for first-year students will be transferred only to Sberbank cards.
HSE in St. Petersburg is often warmly referred to as a ‘big family’, so it’s nice that this family is particularly multinational. Students from 40 countries currently study at HSE St. Petersburg, and have the opportunity not only to gain new knowledge and valuable skills in intercultural communication, but also to make friends from all over the world.
At the end of August, all freshly enrolled HSE students will get HSE e-mail addresses. They will be able to get their addresses at their initial meetings with programme office staff*. We’d like to inform you more about the opportunities that come along with HSE e-mail.

Samrat Sil, a second-year student of MA Program in Applied and Interdisciplinary History, participated in a Summer School for students and young researchers from BRICS countries which took place at Fudan University, China, on July 6 – August 3, 2016.
David Damtar from Ghana and Samrat Sil from India are both pursuing Master’s degrees in Applied and Interdisciplinary History at HSE St Petersburg. HSE student Julia Nikolaenko talked with them about their academic backgrounds, reasons for choosing HSE, and impressions of life in Russia.
