On April 9, the Konrad Adenauer Foundation and Center for Historical Research held a seminar on the history of understanding two dictatorships: the Nazi and the dictatorship of the SED.

On 3 April 2019 at 5 p.m. Leena Enbom, a doctoral candidate of the University of Helsinki gave a talk "What did casual labourers do? Transformation of the unskilled job market in Helsinki, 1890-1980" at the seminar of the Laboratory for Environmental and Technological History.
A regular seminar of Laboratory for Environmental and Technological History of the Center for Historical Research was held on 13 of March, 5 pm, at the address Griboyedov Canal 123, room 213.
On February 12-13, Heidelberg hosted the conference “Parliaments and Political Transformations in Europe and Asia: Diversity and Representation in the 20th and 21st Century”, supported by the EuParl.Net network. (part of which is the Center for Historical Research in St. Petersburg). The workshop, which is part of the project “Entangled Parliamentarisms: Constitutional Practices in Russia, Ukraine, China and Mongolia, 1905 - 2005,” was devoted to the exploring the role of parliaments in Eastern Europe and East Asia.
On February 15, 2019 the Center for Historical Research at the HSE in St Petersburg hosted an ERA.Net research seminar. Etienne Peyrat (Sciences Po Lille) presented his talk "Imperial transition and regional integration in the South Caucasus (1900s-1930s)"
The HSE Department of history invites all students to take part in the IV International Research Conference «Usable Pasts». The event will be held on April 26–27, 2019.
Franziska Exeler (Free University Berlin / University of Cambridge) has presented an outline of her book manuskript "Wartime Ghosts. Nazi Occupation and Its Aftermath in the Soviet Union" at the "Boundaries of History".
The final "Boundaries of History" lecture of 2018 took place on the 13th of December. Franziska Exeler introduced a project of her future book.
