Practice Oriented Seminar within Winter School-2017
Winter School-2017 at the program “Applied and Interdisciplinary History: Usable Pasts” was conducted in February 4-5.
Programme presentation, workshops and plenary sessions were conducted within the School by leading programme faculty. The second day of the Winter School-2017 was dedicated to the practice oriented seminar conducted in the Catherine Palace and Kochubey’s Mansion. The seminar consisted of three parts. The first part was conducted in the Catherine Palace. Participants visited the special exhibition “Noble Nest”, prepared with the participation of the Programme students. The exhibition elucidates the specific of noble mansions’ interiors and daily life of Russian aristocracy in 19-beg. 20 centuries. Anna Rohloj, second year MA student, concluded her internship experience by an excursion conducting.
The seminar was continued by the excursion to the Kochubey’s Mansion “Historical Legacy of the Imperial Past: Kochubey’s Mansion”. Alina Zgolaya, the Programme student, provided an excursion in the mansion.
The seminar was concluded by the round-table, titled “Project Work in Applied and Public History". Programme faculty, current and prospective students discussed opportunities, methods and difficulties within applied projects’ realization and internships organization.
