Key ideas from the meeting:
• Language is the foundation of the profession
It is important not only to have a good command of grammar and vocabulary, but also to be able to use language to understand the worldview, cultural codes and thinking patterns of native speakers.
• Cross-cultural communication is a critical skill
Understanding differences in perceptions of time, hierarchy, trust and communication is particularly important in media, diplomacy and international projects.
• Context is more important than formal skills
Professional skills can be learned on the job, while a deep understanding of the historical, political and social context of a region requires long and systematic immersion.
• Start your career as early as possible
Internships, volunteering and student projects provide initial experience and professional connections. Even rejection is no reason to stop.

• The future belongs to hybrid professions
Asian studies specialists are increasingly creating new professional niches by combining regional expertise with other skills, from media to design and digital platforms.
We would like to thank Anna for her insightful presentation and all participants for their active involvement and interest in the project.
