On November 11, the first meeting of the Discussion Club on International Relations in East Asia, led by Maria Pavlovna Chizhevskaya, took place. Fourth-year student Sofia Cherkasova presented a report titled “Expo as a Tool of Public Diplomacy and an Indicator of the State of International Relations.” In her presentation, the speaker examined the concept of international events under conditions of global instability and strict limitations of international law.

On November 15, the Telegram channel for the discussion club, led by Nikolay Viktorovich Fedorov, was launched. The club aims to evaluate and discuss the application of artificial intelligence (AI) in conducting research and analytical work (using international relations in East Asia as an example).

On November 19, an article by Ekaterina Melnikova and Svetlana Krivokhizh titled “Kazakhstan reimagined: insights into Kazakhstan's image among Chinese internet users” was published in the leading journal on Central Asian studies, “Central Asian Survey.” The authors investigate how users of the Chinese internet platform Zhihu discuss Kazakhstan and what image of Kazakhstan this forms among the Chinese online audience. On November 22, a joint workshop organized by the Department of International Relations and Political Science of Central Asia and East Asia and the Student Research Society was held, focusing on the fundamentals of preparing and publishing scientific articles. The session was conducted by Svetlana Krivokhizh and Elena Soboleva, who shared up-to-date information and their personal experience. During the workshop, participants discussed how to transform academic work into a scientific article, which journals to choose for publication, how to edit material, and how to work with reviewers. Through practical exercises, participants were able to take their first steps in preparing an article and develop a clear and understandable plan for further actions.
