Climate Mitigation, Trade and International law: Dr Margaret Young Took Part in HSE University - St Petersburg's Seminar
Melbourne Law School Associate Professor Dr Margaret Young took part in 'Nationally Determined Contributions to Climate Mitigation, Trade and International Law' seminar recently held at HSE University - St. Petersburg.
Associate Professor of the History Department at the St. Petersburg campus of the National Research University - Higher School of Economics, senior research fellow at the Laboratory for Environmental and Technological History took a part in the 25th International Congress of History of Science and Technology.
On May 27 Elena Kochetkova, senior lecturer of the department of history and research fellow of the Laboratory for Environmental and Techological History, Center for Historical Research has defended successfully her Phd thesis "The Soviet Forestry Industry in the 1950s and 1960s : A Project of Modernization and Technology Transfer from Finland". The defense took place at the faculty of social sciences of the University of Helsinki.
Vasily Borovoy, a Junior Researcher of the Laboratory for Environmental and Technlogical History and a PhD student at the Department of History took part in a PhD study course “Interdisciplinary Introduction to Arctic Studies”.
On March 21, Nooa Nykänen, a PhD candidate from the University of Jyväskylä (Finland) gave a presentation within the regular seminar of the Laboratory for Environmental and Technological History.
Joint Workshop of “Ab Imperio” Journal and the Center for Historical Research, Higher School of Economics in St. Petersburg will be held on June 9-10 (deadline for the applications is April 13).
The workshop will be dedicated to exploration of imperial dimensions in the making of the revolution of 1917, the breakup of empire, and the legacy of imperial politics and society for the post-imperial period, including the varieties of post-imperial political imaginaries in the comparative and global context.
