Congress of History of Science and Technology in Rio-de-Janeiro

Associate Professor of the History Department at the St. Petersburg campus of the National Research University - Higher School of Economics, senior research fellow at the Laboratory for Environmental and Technological History took a part in the 25th International Congress of History of Science and Technology.

Marina Loskutova, the Associate Professor of the History Department at the St. Petersburg campus of the National Research University - Higher School of Economics, senior research fellow at the Laboratory for Environmental and Technological History, has recently returned from Rio-de-Janeiro where she participated in the 25th International Congress of History of Science and Technology, which took place on July 23-29th and was supported by the Brazilian Society for History of Science and the International Union of History and Philosophy of Science and Technology. Dr. Loskutova presented her paper 'The St. Petersburg Academy of Sciences, its correspondents and the production of space in the Russian empire in the 1760s-1790s' at the symposium that was specifically focused on naturalists' correspondence in the early modern and modern period.
