HSE University – Saint Petersburg Goes Online from October 25
Due to the threat of the spread of the novel coronavirus infection COVID-19 and in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation, HSE University – St. Petersburg will temporarily switch to a distance learning. HSE – St. Petersburg Students Can Get Reimbursement Accommodation Fees
Students who have temporarily moved out of the dormitory for the period of distance learning can apply for the discount of 50% of the total cost of the accommodation fee.
International Student Arrivals
This fall HSE University – Saint Petersburg resumes most classes in person. The state borders of the Russian Federation remain closed for entry of most foreign citizens except for five countries (Abkhazia, United Kingdom, Tanzania, Turkey, and Switzerland). For those students who are unable to enter Russia the university will arrange online instruction.

HSE University took 298th place in the 2021 QS World University Rankings, improving its ranking by 24 positions compared to last year and entering the first quartile of the world’s leading universities. HSE University now ranks among the world’s top 300 universities in two international rankings: the Quacquarelli Symonds World University Rankings and the Times Higher Education World University Rankings.
