Dual Degree Programme

About the dual degree programme

«Dual Degree Programme in International Studies» is organized based on an agreement between the Higher School of Economics and the Tor Vergata University (Rome, Italy) and the Pompeu Fabra University (Barcelona, Spain).

The programmes assume that 3-4 years students of the International Bachelor  in Business and Economics programme have the opportunity to complete a year of study in Rome or Barcelona, while students from Italy and Spain can come to HSE. The programmes allow graduates to receive two bachelor's degrees at once - from the Higher School of Economics and the University of Tor Vergata or Pompeu Fabra.

What for?

The double degree track is a unique opportunity for HSE students:

  1. to expand knowledge in the chosen professional field;

  2. to gain experience of international communication and education in a new environment in the best cities of the world;

  3. to become more competitive in the international labor market;

  4. to enroll in prestigious master's degrees after graduating from two universities.

How to get involved?

Applications for the dual degree program are open to all students of the International Bachelor in Business and Economics programme who meet 2 conditions at the same time:

1. having an average score of at least 6.0 (GPA is taken into account, you can find it in your electronic portfolio in LMS);

2. that do not have valid disciplinary sanctions (the disciplinary sanction is valid for 1 year from the date of issuance of the corresponding order).

The registration will be carried out through the registartion form - https://www.hse.ru/en/polls/545000599.html

Competitive selection

The selection of candidates for a dual degree programme is carried out by the Academic Council of the programme.

Students will be selected based on the review of motivation letters, GPA, level of English and place in the cumulative ranking.

Tuition payment

HSE students do not pay for tuition at the Universities of Pompeu Fabra or Tor Vergata. This means that our students of the budgetary form of education do not pay anything for education.

Students who study on a paid basis pay according to their agreement with the Higher School of Economics.

At the same time, the costs connected with the flight and accommodation are paid by the students independently.
