HSE-START seminar in the field of 'Applied History'
On February 20, the presentation of the projects of the HSE-START finalists in the field of ‘Applied History’ will take place at HSE University – St Petersburg. The event will be attended by the representatives of the Committee for the State Inspection and Protection of Historic and Cultural Monuments and ‘Vozrozhdenie’, the group of design and construction companies. The experts will tell about their activities and discuss the opportunities for cooperation with the university.
The practice-oriented seminar HSE-START aims improving the quality of applied research and developing a platform for communication between the student community and representatives of business and government.
Research papers competition for students and young scientists at HSE University – St Petersburg in the field of ‘Applied History’ took place earlier in December and January.
The Expert Council of the seminar selected the five finalist projects:
1. Memory of the city: Blockade map
2. Geographic Information system ‘Monastic colonization of XIV-XVII centuries’
3. 넵스키 걷기 Walking along Nevsky
4. Enlightening Project ‘Historical Introduction into Vaccination’
5. Cultural & Heritage Fest
In the final, the teams will present the results of their projects, compete for an opportunity to collaborate with representatives of government and business.
