Аннотация

(Level А1) This program is developed for international students beginning to study Russian from scratch. The goal of the program is to provide students with basic communication skills necessary for everyday interaction in simple life situations: getting acquainted, introducing oneself and others, requesting and providing information, navigating the city, and shopping. During the course, students will master: the basics of Russian topics and professional production; a basic lexical minimum (about 600 to 700 words); the simplest grammatical structures (present tense of verbs, case forms of nouns in the nominative and prepositional cases, personal pronouns, numerals up to 100, etc.); listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills at the elementary level; cultural features of the Russian speaking environment necessary for successful adaptation. The program is focused on the active use of the language in a standard setting, includes interactive tasks, role playing games, audio and video materials, as well as elements of cultural studies. Upon completion of the course, students can use familiar everyday expressions, engage in simple dialogue, introduce themselves and others, and ask and answer simple questions. (Level А2) The Russian as a Foreign Language program at level A2 is intended for international students who already have basic Russian at level A1 and are quickly developing their communication skills for everyday interaction in social, academic, and cultural contexts. During the course, students develop spoken and written language, expand their vocabulary, learn basic grammatical structures, and practice understanding simple texts and spoken statements on familiar topics. The program is designed to help students maintain active dialogue, express their thoughts and actions, and understand audio and video materials. Special attention is given to practical language use, cultural adaptation, and overcoming the language barrier in real-life situations. By the end of the course, students can communicate confidently on everyday topics, read and write simple messages, complete questionnaires, understand announcements and instructions, and prepare for further study of Russian at level B1. (Level B 1)The Russian as a Foreign Language program at the B1 level is designed for international students who have successfully mastered the A2 level and wish to expand their communicative capabilities for independent and confident use of the Russian language in a wide range of everyday, academic, and professional situations. The course aims to develop all types of speech activities - speaking, listening, reading, and writing - with an emphasis on the ability to express opinions, argue, describe experiences, discuss abstract topics, and understand non-standard oral and written texts. Students master more complex grammatical structures and expand their vocabulary through set expressions, idioms, and word-formation models. Special attention is paid to cultural competence: understanding the nuances of the Russian social environment, media, everyday culture, and business communication norms. Upon completion of the course, students will be able to hold discussions, write coherent texts (up to 200 words), understand authentic audio and video materials (news, interviews, TV series), navigate official documents, and prepare to study Russian at the B2 level. (Level B 2) The program Russian as a Foreign Language, level B2, is intended for international students who have successfully completed level B1 and seek to use Russian freely, confidently, and flexibly in academic, professional, and social spheres. The course aims to develop the ability to understand complex texts, hold discussions on abstract and specialized topics, express nuances of opinion, and produce clear, structured written work. Learners master advanced grammatical constructions and expand their vocabulary through terminology, idioms, and stylistic devices. Special attention is paid to intercultural competence: analysis of Russian media, interpretation of cultural codes, and understanding of social and political realities. Upon completion of the course, students will be able to participate in professional negotiations, write essays and reports of up to 300 words, understand lectures, debates, and literary works, and prepare for the TRKI-2 exam, Test of Russian as a Foreign Language, level B2.

To enable confident communication in complex, unfamiliar, and formal situations, such as conferences, negotiations, and drafting official documents;
To develop understanding of the details and subtext of authentic spoken and written texts, including irony, hints, and stylistic features;
To develop intercultural and media literacy, including understanding Russian media, literature, cinema, public discourse, and norms of politeness in different contexts.
To enable description of complex phenomena, ideas, and hypothetical situations, and analysis of causes and consequences;

Respond appropriately to standard social situations such as greetings, farewells, thanks, apologies, and congratulations.;
Understand authentic audio and video materials without adaptation, including lectures, debates, documentaries, talk shows, and feature films, including those with fast speech and dialects.
Use complex speech strategies such as paraphrasing, softening formulations, introducing quotations, and building counterarguments.
Upon completion, students should be able to hold advanced discussions on science, politics, economics, philosophy, ethics, global challenges, and cultural trends.
Write short messages and fill out a form;
